Lyttelton
Fox II sails from one of two locations in Lyttelton depending on the height of the tide. Each group will be advised by email in advance where to meet the boat.

 

1)  Naval Point Yacht Club
Upon exiting the Lyttelton tunnel, turn right (second exit of the roundabout) into Simeon Quay. Take the first left, into Godley Quay. After crossing the railway line twice, take the second right, into Charlotte Jane Quay (at the Recreation Ground clubrooms). Follow the road round to the Naval Point public car park/boat ramp.

 

Cars and mini buses can be left in the public car park. There are public toilets here.

 

Proceed on foot to the Naval Point Yacht Club building where you will be met by CanSail crew.

 

2)  Dampier Bay Marina, Inner Harbour
Dampier Bay pontoon will only be used for groups requiring access for young people with physical disability. Departure from Dampier Bay is by prior arrangement only.

 

Upon exiting the Lyttelton tunnel, turn right (second exit of the roundabout) into Simeon Quay. Take the first left, into Godley Quay. Turn left immediately after the railway line, in front of Lyttelton Engineering, onto a gravelled access road which opens into a large car-parking area.

 

Cars and mini buses may be parked here. Please note the only toilet facility is a port-a-loo.
